What we do

One crew for your whole move

From a single heavy piece to a full-home relocation, wrapped, lifted and placed, all under one roof. Every service below carries the same quality promise.

The honest call

Local, long-distance, or just muscle?

Moving is the one purchase where your entire household rides in someone else’s truck. Here is how honest movers price it, and the one scam worth knowing cold.

Local moves

Hours times crew. That’s it.

Priced by
Crew size and hours, plus named extras
Your lever
Everything boxed and labeled before we arrive

The cheapest hour is the one we don’t spend. Ready boxes, empty drawers and a parking spot save you real money, we’ll say so up front.

Long distance

Survey first. Always.

Standard
A walk-through or video survey, then a binding number
Never
A firm price from a phone call that saw nothing

A quote nobody surveyed is a number built to change. Binding-after-survey is the industry’s honest way, insist on it, with anyone.

Packing

Split the job smartly.

Us
Kitchen, glass, art, the stuff that breaks in amateur boxes
You
Books, linens, and everything irreplaceable rides in YOUR car

Documents, jewelry, hard drives and heirlooms never go in the truck, any honest mover tells you that before you ask.

The scam

Know it before you book.

The play
Lowball phone quote, load the truck, then the price doubles
The shield
Binding estimate, the carrier’s own name on it, valuation explained

Standard “valuation” pays cents per pound, ask what full-value coverage costs before moving day, not after the dresser arrives in pieces.

One more honest line: the busiest days (month-end, weekends, summer) cost more everywhere. Flexible dates are the discount nobody advertises.

Straight pricing

One number. In writing. It doesn’t move.

No hourly meter, no surprise line items, no “while we’re at it”. You approve one clear quote before a single box is lifted, so you know the cost up front.

The move walkthrough

We visit, measure every corner and listen to what you actually want. Free, and it stays free.

02
Your clear quote

Crew, truck, wrap and miles, one line, one binding price. Approved by you before anything starts.

In writing03
Signed & guaranteed

The number lands in writing with straightforward valuation coverage. If we damage something, we make it right.

The breakdown

What moves the number.

No mystery math. Four things decide what a move costs, and we walk every one with you before the quote lands.

Access & stairsWalk-ups, long carries, elevators and how close the truck can park do more to the number than the miles.
What’s movingThe real inventory, how many rooms and truck loads, and the pieces that take two people and a plan.
Distance & timingAcross town or across states, and whether the date is a flexible mid-month or a month-end everyone wants.
Fragile & special itemsPianos, safes and anything that needs crating or extra wrapping is careful work, and worth it.

Whatever the mix, you get one clear quote, in writing, before any work starts.

What a serious moving quote includes, ours or anyone’s:
  • An inventory or survey behind the number
  • Binding or not-to-exceed, named on the page
  • Crew size, truck and hours, spelled out
  • Stairs, long carries, pianos: priced before, not after
  • Valuation options explained, in plain words
  • The company’s own name and license on the paper
If the name on the quote isn’t the name on the truck, you booked a broker. That’s where surprises come from.
On the job

The last box

Every box,
accounted for.

Where we work

Proudly serving the Portland metro

A lot of our work comes from a neighbor who watched us work the house next door. If you're in the metro, we're just around the corner.

Rainy-season moves are the local specialty: floor runners, shrink-wrapped sofas and dry-boxed electronics aren’t extras here, they’re Tuesday.

How it goes

From first call to done.

No mystery in the middle. This is the path the job actually takes, start to finish.

01
The in-home walkthroughday 1

A mover, not a salesperson, walks every room with you, opens closets and the garage, and notes stairs, tight doorways, the piano, anything fragile. Nothing gets quoted off a phone guess.

02
Quote lands in writingwithin 24 hours

You get a clear quote by email that lists crew size, truck size, hours, and materials, plus what could change it. No verbal numbers, no surprise add-ons on move day.

03
We lock the date and plan1-2 weeks out

We confirm your move day in writing, reserve the right-sized truck and crew, and walk through parking, elevator windows, and where the boxes should land in the new place.

04
Move day, wrapped and loadedday of the job

The crew arrives in the booked window, pads and shrink-wraps furniture, disassembles what needs it, and loads by inventory so nothing gets left behind or lost.

05
Final walkthrough and sign-offbefore we leave

We reassemble beds and furniture, place boxes in the right rooms, and walk the old and new place with you against the inventory. You get the written damage-free guarantee in hand, and we haul off the used packing paper and boxes before we go.

Before you book anyone

Five questions for every moving company.

Including us. Your whole household in one truck deserves five minutes of questions. These are the five.

01Are you the carrier, or a broker?

A broker sells your move to whoever bids. You want the company on the phone to be the company in your driveway.

02Will you survey before the binding price?

Walk-through or video, then a number that holds. A firm quote from a blind phone call is a setup, not an estimate.

03What’s your license number?

Interstate movers carry a USDOT number you can look up in seconds. Local movers carry state licensing. Either way: a number, not a story.

04What does full-value protection cost?

The included coverage pays by the pound, a shattered TV is worth a few dollars that way. Knowing the upgrade price IS the decision.

05What costs extra, exactly?

Stairs, elevators, long carries, heavy items, all normal, all fine, all priced BEFORE moving day. After is called leverage.

Bring this list to the estimate. We’ll answer all five before you ask.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Getting started
Do you charge for estimates?+
No. Written estimates for every service and commercial plans are always free, we visit, measure, walk the rooms and list what's moving, and email you a clear, itemized quote with no obligation.
How soon can you start?+
Most estimates go out within a day, and typical projects are scheduled within one to two weeks. For urgent moves, before a move, a sale or an event, just tell us the date and we'll do our best to fit you in.
What does “free estimates” mean?+
Before any work begins, we give you one clear quote to approve, prep, materials and labor included. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons at the end. You always decide before we start.
What happens during the free walkthrough?+
We count the real furniture, open the closets people forget, flag stairs and parking, and hand you one binding number, twenty minutes.
How far in advance should I book?+
Two to three weeks for month-end dates, days for mid-month. Emergencies happen, call anyway.
Which move type fits us?+
Tap through the Move Studio above, family home, piano day, office weekend, and the page takes each mood. The walkthrough makes it one plan.
Packing, protection & moving day
What should I do before moving day?+
Decide what goes, label anything staying, and keep valuables and documents with you. Everything liftable is our department, including the doorway math.
How do you protect furniture and floors?+
Blankets and shrink wrap on furniture before it moves an inch, floor runners and door jamb guards at both ends, standard, not upsells.
Can you move just one heavy thing?+
Happily, pianos, safes and treadmills are half our week. Flat quote from a photo, done in an hour.
What will you not move?+
Hazardous liquids, propane and live plants over state lines, and we will tell you exactly how to handle those yourself.
Do you supply boxes and materials?+
Yes, included in packing services, and wardrobe boxes ride along free on moving day either way.
What about parking and elevators?+
We arrange permits where cities want them and book elevators with building management, logistics is part of the quote.
Pricing, licensing & guarantee
Is your quote really binding?+
Yes, after the walkthrough the number is fixed, stairs, traffic and the couch that fights back included. The clock is our problem.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Fully, licensed carrier with cargo and liability coverage, certificates shared before the truck rolls.
Why do moves go over budget elsewhere?+
Hourly billing plus surprise stairs. Binding quotes end that genre of story, which is why ours are binding.
Is anything guaranteed?+
The price, the date and the inventory, in writing. Anything we wrapped that arrives damaged is on us, claims handled in days, not seasons.
Is the Care Plan worth it?+
For most homes, yes: an annual inspection, free scuff and touch-up visits, priority scheduling, and 15% off future projects typically pay for the membership the first time you use it, and keep every finish looking new.
